Lasting News Insights

Editorial policy

Lasting News Insights aims to be clear about what a story says, what supports it and where its limits lie. We value careful wording, fair treatment and visible corrections.

Accuracy and context

We check factual claims against suitable sources and give readers enough context to understand a subject without overstating what is known. We separate established detail from interpretation, avoid unsupported certainty and revisit material when a meaningful error comes to light.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for relevance to the publication, not to secure favourable treatment for a partner or contributor. If a collaboration creates a relevant interest that readers should know about, we identify it clearly alongside the material.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, actionable correction requests and, when a factual correction is warranted, update the affected text and make the change clear to readers.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled plainly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where this applies, the illustration is identified as such.

Our point of view

What lasts is worth looking at closely.

We trace how ideas and practices are passed on, adapted or set aside, with attention to what people can learn from their staying power.
